A tradition that is still deeply felt. Screams of joy from the masked children who pour through the streets of Bormio in the afternoon to warn everyone that the longest and coldest month of the year is now over. The village children dress up mostly 'old-fashioned' wearing old-fashioned clothes, and armed with cowbells, tolle and tin cans, they run through the village streets making as much noise as possible to chase away winter. They enter shops and, shouting, l'è fòra genéjron (January is over), get candies and small gifts.
