On the trails of the Bitto Valley

Inside the Orobie Valtellinesi Park is the trail of the Eco-Museum of the Bitto Valley. This trail, about 2 miles (3.5 km) in length, runs from the little church of the Madonna delle Grazie, just above the town of Albaredo, toward San Marco pass. It takes about an hour and a half to walk to the Lower Vesenda Alp, in the town of Bema, where the famous Avez de Vesenda is located—this 350 year old fir tree is the oldest and most imposing in the Valtellina.

Along the trail you can admire examples of the peasant farmer lifestyle which is characterized by the rural buildings used for the production of the Bitto, a well-know semi-hard paste cheese, that is medium aged, and to which is dedicated in October of every year, a major exhibition in Morbegno.

Fly Emotion: See the Bitto Valley from another perspective

Fly Emotion is a new attraction, suitable for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, that lets you safely fly over the beautiful Bitto Valley (zip-line: a special harness secured to a pulley that rolls along a steel cable). At the end of the flight, a special braking system will slow down the carriage in a natural and totally automatic way. You can choose whether to fly alone or as a pair.

Each ticket allows you to fly through 1312 feet (400 meters) of descent split between two 1.5 mile (2.5 km) spans—from Albaredo to San Marco and Bema and back. Those who weigh less than 70 kg must fly in a pair.
