S. Antonio – Madonna dei Monti – S. Gotthard – Plazzanecco – Bormio – Campolungo – Calvarana – S. Antonio
Starting from S.Antonio in Valfurva, ride along the bike path Genolecia until you reach S. Nicolò, then after having crossed the state highway, you climb a mule track which leads to the village of Teregua. Climbing the military road of the Ables, you will reach the trail Stravalfurva, which you follow for about 2 miles (3 km), and when it ends, you descend toward Madonna dei Monti to return to S. Antonio along a steep downhill with technical sections. From S. Antonio continue in the direction of S.Gotthard and begin an ascent on nicely paved road until Pradaccio, near the entrance to the Zebrù Valley.
After a short descent from the bridge of the Three Crosses, you climb on a single track that leads to the houses of Plazzanecco, the highest point of the route. A loose, slippery downhill leads toward Valle d’Uzza, from which begins the most characteristic and fun section of the route, immersed in the woods of the Reit, it continues until the Baitin del Mago (the magicians hut), that leads us to the historic center of Bormio, in piazza del Kuerc.
From this point, passing over the bridge of Combo, continue in the direction of Bormio 2000 where, after a 2.17 mile (3.5 km) climb, take the forest service road (unpaved) toward Campolungo, which is characterized by continuous ups and downs in the woods, then becomes much more demanding up to Calvarana. From Calvarana descend quickly on a dirt road until the town of S. Antonio.
