In a convent in the Alps during the first half of the 20th century, Brother Tobia finds in smuggling a way to help those who suffer. Sebastiano is a strict financier whose path crosses that of the smugglers and Tobia. Both are attracted to the young Judith. Between duty, friendship and difficult choices, the mountains become the scene of an event that will change their lives forever.
